Synopsis: My Baby's Daddies

Drew and Ben are the perfect gay couple- a Brooklyn brownstone, a golden retriever and the freedom that comes with being DINKS (double income, no kids). But when the phone rings, they answer the long- awaited call from an adoption agency that will give them the baby they’ve always wanted.

A free-spirited adoption specialist lures them to Mississippi with the promise that they’ll get their baby girl if they don’t ask questions about Mississippi law and don’t tell the truth about being a gay couple.

The new dads agree and are rewarded with a beautiful baby daughter and the news that they’ll have to live on the down low in Mississippi for a week while a suspicious social worker checks out their story.

The workers at a small-town hotel welcome them with southern hospitality and some new parenting advice while Drew and Ben bring some light and levity to a place where gay still just means happy.

Along the way, their suspicious social worker, a hotel manager with stereotypical views and southern Baptists confront their alternative family values while Drew and Ben confront their own ability for parenthood.

A final showdown in adoption court allows everyone to realize that although it takes a man and woman to make a baby, it takes love to make a family.
